Stephanie Weigl Remembered as Community Supports Matt Weigl, Abigail, and Zachary After a Rapid Illness
Stephanie Weigl has died after a courageous battle with Stage 4 Cholangiocarcinoma, according to a memorial fundraiser created on June 18, 2026.
The fundraiser, organized by Kait Collins and Tim Gagnon on behalf of Matt Weigl, says the illness progressed far faster than expected.
Matt Weigl, a DC team member with SEI, now faces the loss with Abigail, 9, and Zachary, 2.
The campaign had raised $28,650 toward a $65K goal through 47 donations and was listed under Funerals and Memorials.
Organizers said contributions will help with living costs, immediate needs, future expenses, and support for Abigail and Zachary.
The SEI family shared gratitude for those surrounding Matt, Abigail, and Zachary with care in the days, weeks, and months ahead.
Memorial service details, the formal obituary, and funeral arrangements will be announced later by family members.
