Charles Singer Sr., a Diné elder originally from Nazlini, Arizona, passed away on June 15, 2026, at age 89 after ongoing health challenges.

Charles was Todichiini clan and born for the Honaghaani clan, and the family remembered a life shaped by faith, kindness, humor, and steady devotion to loved ones.

Charles and late spouse Pamela Singer raised six children, Delphine Whitehorse, late Burl Singer, Cheryl Singer, late Charlesena Singer, Bruno Singer, and Charles Jr., in Cortez, Colorado, before later making a home in Aneth, Utah.

The family shared that Charles loved rodeo, especially bull riding, and often uplifted others through prayer, generosity, and laughter.

A memorial support page created on June 17, 2026, by Del Whitehorse listed $1,995 raised toward a $12,000 goal through 18 donations.

Funeral services will take place at Ertel Funeral Home in Cortez, Colorado, with further service details expected from the family later.
